Mir Zahoor visits Pampore Constituency

Minister of State for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Cooperative and Fisheries Mir Zahoor Ahmad today visited various areas of Pampore Constituency included Frastibal, Kadlabal, Pampore Town, Latribal and Ladow and took stock of pace of several developmental works under execution in these areas besides listing peoples’  grievances.

During the tour, Mir Zahoor inaugurated Public Park at Kadlabal Pampore. The Park was constructed and developed by the Municipal Committee Pampore under Integrated Development Medium Towns (IDMT) with an amount of Rs 11.40 lakh.

Inspecting the pace of progress on development of Sport Stadium Kadlabal and Sports Field Tanchibagh, the Minister fixed two months dead line for completion of earth filling of Sports Stadium.

En-route, several deputations met the Minister and apprised him about their individual and collective problems relating to development. These included digging of Borewells, car parking system, construction of amusement park, sanctioning of ITI for boys, repair and renovation of footpath and removal of mud from kadlabal bridge, introduction of commerce stream in Degree College Pampore, development & fencing of Iqbal Sports Stadium, Tanchibagh at Drangbal, construction of Mini Secretariat at Pampore Town, acquisition of land for construction of OPD block at Pampore Hospital, immediate repairs and renovation of streetlights.

The Minister gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be looked into and addressed in phased manner. However, in some cases, Mir Zahoor gave on-the-spot directions to the concerned for immediate redressal of public grievances.

At Tanchibal, the Minister directed for immediate construction of lavatory units under Swach Bharat Abyian.

Later, the Minister addressed a large public gathering at Town Hall, Pampore and said that the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide equitable development of all the three regions of the State, adding that the Government is also committed for good governance.

Referring to the developmental activities being carried out in Pampore Constituency, the Minister said that work on various micro and macro projects is going-on in full swing. The completion of these projects will bring change in socio-economic profile of the people of the area, he maintained.
