MLA Ramnagar chairs Janta Darbar

Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania, today chaired Janta Darbar cum officers meeting at Village Paldai of Tehsil Majalta for redressal of day to day problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas via a vis reviewing developmental projects and their pace.
Senior officers and district heads of PWD, RDD, Education department, Power Development Department (PDD), Public heath Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other departments were also present.
The public present in the meeting were upbeat and jubilant over setting up of a Degree College at Majalta and were all-praise for their young and vibrant MLA who has been finally able to fulfill this decades-long demand of the area. The local populace of the area expressed their sincerest gratitude to MLA Ramnagar. They also said that this Degree College is in fact a boon for the coming generations of this area who will be largely benefited by this college. Pertinent to mention here is that till date about 90 admissions have been made in this college which was announced a month later after the other colleges had started admitting students, and even Arts faculty has been offered here in first instance.While speaking on the occasion, MLA Ramnagar said that he stands for raising and resolving the public issues of the area and it is in this context he had taken up this issue of setting up of a Degree College at Majalta on the various platforms, may it be on the floor of the legislative assembly or the District Development Board meetings and finally have been able to deliver on this issue. He said that this college will be nurtured as a ‘Model Degree College’ and he will be personally monitoring this project .
Pathania further gave patient hearing to several issues projected by the people of the area and issued directions for on spot redressal of the problems projected by the people. He further said that his focus shall be on people residing in far-flung and remote areas. On the occasion, MLA Ramnagar directed officers/officials to ensure that ration is available to every household who figures in the list. He also directed the department to come clear on the criteria for putting an household in exclusion category and verify “the households figuring in the exclusion list” and sort out all the grievances related to this exercise at an earliest. He further called for ensuring that sign boards displaying number of souls, stock position, rate list and electronic weighing machines are installed in every fair price shop of the area.
He also directed PWD and PMGSY departments to clear all the blocked roads/ landslide affected channels to mitigate the sufferings of the public. MLA Ramnagar further informed that raid projects costing about Rs. 60-80 crores for PMGSY roads will be taken up this year and also work on Thial to Chountra Mata road at a cost of 26 crores shall be starting very soon. He also called for early resumption of work on various drinking water supply schemes and creation/augmentation of power stations so that people do not suffer on the account of portable water and erratic power supply. He informed that rope-crossing projects of water pipes in Villages Jakhenu and Palnoo will be taken up this year under SCA to Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan.
On the issue of augmenting veterinary care facilities, Pathania informed that buildings for Vety. Centres at Sail Kori Ber, Kathil and Bilaspur will be set up in the area. He further called for construction of new Administrative Blocks at PHC Majalta and PHC Bharnara. He also announced to develop PHC Majalta as a ‘Model PHC’.
