An earthquake of moderate intensity shook Bhaderwah valley in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday, triggering panic among people.
The quake, measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt at 7.16 am, Met officials said.
“As of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property,” said SDM Bhadarwah Mohd Anwar Banday.
Panic-stricken people rushed out of their homes when the quake, whose epicenter was 9km south – east of Bhaderwah, jolted the picturesque Valley.
Pertinently, there is fear among people after recent study of the US scientists, who predicted that there is a possibility of major earthquake in J&K.
