More Than 3000 Police Personnel Deployed At Toll Plazas In Delhi

The ongoing farmer’s protest has today entered its 17 days and almost 3 weeks have been passed. As per the latest news, a group of farmers from Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, and Monga is reaching Delhi today. The security has been tightened along all the borders for the coming weekend. The Central Government has deployed more than 3500 police personnel at Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh toll plazas in the view of block toll plaza call by the farmers on 12 and 14 December.

Home Minister Amit Shah today benched a meeting with higher police officials to review the situation at protest sites and emphasized the measures to avoid any incident of violence. The Union Ministry has said that “the meetings with farmers are under process and soon a mutual decision will be taken after which the farmers will end their protest”. The Union Ministry has also requested the farmers to not allow any political person in their protest who tries to organize riots in the country.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the bills are in the favor of farmers and we will be keeping our promise of MSP. It will be wrong to say that these bills are against the farmers and the opposition parties are misleading the farmers.

As per the sources, the coming farmer’s group will replace the existing group in farmers’ protest.
