Mughal Road reopens for traffic after three days

The historic Mughal road, which connects Shopian in south Kashmir with Poonch and Rajouri districts in the Pir Panjal region, re-opened for traffic on Tuesday after remaining closed for three days due to snowfall and heavy rains, officials said on Tuesday.

AEE Mechanical, Mughal Road, in Surankote Sub Division Tahir Khan said snow clearance has been completed.

The traffic movement on the thoroughfare was suspended in view of snow accumulation at few places and heavy rains for three days with authorities that it might trigger landslides or shooting stones.
