‘Naari Shakti Jagriti Manch’ seeks help from populace to make drug-free society

‘Naari Shakti Jagriti Manch’ President Sushma Mahajan while addressing a press conference on Monday said that drug free society is dream if their organization and she appeals the common people to join hands with their organization so that we could save our younger generations.

Sushma Mahajan further said that drug menace including tobacco and liquor consumption has hollowed the society, especially the youth. She appealed the local people to unite and fight against the drug menace adding that in feature their organizations is going to organize seminars, rallies, door to door campaigning and organizing camps to get the youth free from the clutches of drugs.

Sushma Mahajan further said that before the joining of SSP Neeva Jain, drug menace in the city had created havoc in the society as dozens of youths had lost their valuable lives. Hailing the dedicated efforts of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain, she said that within a short period police had arrested more than three dozen drug peddlers and drug addicts.

She also hailed the efforts of SSP Neeva Jain for organising series of drug awareness camps in dissimilar schools and the drug de-addiction medical camp at District Police Lines Kathua.

Secretary of Women Era Kusum Salaria appealed drug consumers to keep themselves away from such type of things as they not only affect the human body but spoils the society also.

“Youth should channelize their energies in sports and other co curricular activities to live healthy life”, she added.

“We feel proud to say that present SSP is making dedicated efforts to curb the menace and appeal DGP not to transfer SSP Neeva Jain and Women Cell In-charge Sanjeevn until they complete their tenure”, the other speakers added. Ritu Bhargav, Monika Jasrotia, Nisha Choudhary and many others were present on the occasion.
