Nag Panchami celebrated with religious fervour in Jammu

People celebrated auspicious ‘Nag Panchami’ festival with religious fervour on Sunday. They worshipped snakes at their doorsteps as well as in the temples. Every Nag temple in the city witnessed crowd and a large number of devotees also worshipped Lord Shiva, as the day falls in the holy month of Sawan.

In Jammu main function ‘Nag Panchami’ was also celebrated with religious fervour where devotees mainly performed special pooja of Nag Devta and offered milk to them. The pooja was performed in Nag temples and Shiv temples across the region with devotees offering milk to Nag Devtas.

Meanwhile, ‘Nag Panchami’ was also celebrated with religious fervour in Kathua where devotees performed at Nag Devta Baba Surgal Temple, Parli Band. However, the crowd was witnessed and also bhandara organized on this auspicious occasion.
