Nanda highlights role of workers in nation building

Vishwakarma Day was celebrated with traditional fervor, enthusiasm as people organized special Pooja to mark the day.
An impressive congregation was organized by Mazdoor Dastkar Union (MDU) where after Vishwakarma pooja and Havan were performed which was followed by a rally.
A huge gathering of workers and devotees participated to receive the blessings of Bhagwan Vishwakarma on this pious day.
Minister of State for Finance, Information Technology, Planning, Parliamentary Affairs, Tribal Affairs, Labour and Employment, Ajay Nanda was chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister threw light on relevance of the day and engineering miracles of lord Vishwakarma. He said entire modern world is the creation of engineers which are the followers of Vishwakarma and ‘we are witnessing the miracle of skills everywhere and everyday in our life’.
The Minister also underlined the importance of safeguarding the rights of labourers and their welfare. He said they play a pivotal role in nation building as no system can work without the support of workers.
Meanwhile, the Minister also flagged off a rally which started from Asia Chowk Kundrorian and culminated at Natali Katra.
Among others present were ASP Katra Sumir Kotwal, SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria, Tehsildar Katra Mohit Raina, SDPO Dr.Ashok Sharma, and large numbers of local people were present on the occasion.
