Nat Manch stages Dogri play ‘Apni Virasat Bachao’

On the eve of World Heritage Day , Nat Manch on Tuesday presented a Dogri play ‘Apni Virasat Bachao’ at Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. With the presentation of today’s play, Nat Manch completed 263 shows as the part of its ongoing Tuesday Series. The play was written and directed by Tarun Sharma.
The story of the play revolves around a boy and his grand father. The grand father takes his grand son on a heritage tour in which he want to give the knowledge of Dogra rich culture and heritage to his grandson but on reaching the historical places, they both saw a local man spitting on historical place . While seeing this scene, the grand father felt guilty that if we don’t care our rich heritage and culture then no one in the world will look after our these precious treasure. The grand father told his grand son that Jammu is fast losing the objects which once used to be its pride of possessing unique heritage of historical importance. The grandeur and glory of these objects during Dogra Maharajas’ rule has waned almost everywhere and so are the remnants of that era disappearing fast, courtesy unconcerned governments over the years who are least bothered to protect these as heritage items. The actors who performed during the play including Vijay Pathainia , Ranjeet Singh , Mohit Sharma , Sourav Sharma, Mayank Pangotra
and Aman Kumar.
