All India Vaish Federation (AIVF), an International organization that was established in 1981 to promote the interests of the Vaishya community, organized All India Vaish Sammelan in New Delhi wherein National President AIVF and former Member of Parliament, Dr. Gireesh Kumar Sanghi was the Chief Guest. All the country heads of AIVF like J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Madya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharastra, Karnataka present in the Sammelan.

From Jammu and Kashmir Rattan Lal Gupta (State President AIVF), Varinder Kumar Gupta (State General Secretary AIVF), Rajiv Mahajan (State Youth President AIVF) and Atul Aggarwal (State Mahamantri) besides others were also present. National Working President and former Member of Parliament,  Sunil Shastri and and National General Secretary Gopal M. Mor were also present.

“In olden times in the country the Vaish were called ‘Shreshtha’ meaning thereby that their place was very high and respectable in the society,” Dr Sanghi said adding that nowadays they are ignore despite the importance of the community even today is the same.

Today, he said, the Vaish community in all sphere of life is establishing new standards of success not only in production and distribution but in education, arts, medicine, technology, politics, administration, journalism etc. For the spiritual and cultural upliftment this community has done and despite doing so much and being so helpful the community has not been given due recognition by the government and the society, he mentioned. The Vaish community is being ignored despite that the community members participated in many struggle for the nation, he said adding that the community would stand by the person or a party that stands for the benefits of the community. He also asserted that youth of the community should come forward and head the struggle in voice for the regard and respect of the community.
