National Integration Tour “Desh Ki Beti-Desh Ki Shakti” flagged off

In furtherance of ‘Sadhbhavana’ initiative and to expose the youth of J&K to the rich cultural heritage, secular fabric and rising economic and technological prowess of the nation, a National Integration Tour “Desh Ki Beti-Desh Ki Shakti” is being organised for the girl students of remote areas of Rajouri district by Army from 15 Sept to 24 Sept 2016. The tour is consisting of 20 girls and 02 teachers from remote parts of Rajouri district was flagged off by from Thanamandi village of Rajouri district on 15 September 2016.
During the course of their tour they will be visiting New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, where they shall be visiting various places of historical and educational interest. These girl students will also get an opportunity to interact with Hon’ble Textile Minister Smriti Zubin Irani and Chief of the Army Staff General Dalbir Singh Suhag.
The excitement was evident on the face of the participants, most of whom has never ventured out of the State and were looking forward to an eventful tour.
The tour was flagged off by Deputy Sector Commander of Rashtriya Rifles in a ceremony attended by prominent military and civil dignitaries along with the parents
of the girls who are part of the tour.
