NC Minority Cell holds meet, take stock of unrest in Valley

National Conference (NC) Minority Cell held a meeting today, chaired by its president MK Yogi to take stock of situation arising out of prolonged state of unrest in the valley, claiming more than 40 human lives and injuries to more than 2500 people including security forces.

The members dwelt that bloodshed cannot be justified by either side and appealed the people of the valley to maintain peace and communal harmony.

They felt that the present dispensation of PDP-BJP remain failed during the current unrest in the wake of killing of some militants and urged for taking people from different political and social organizations on board by calling all party meet to bring a halt to this present cycle of death and destruction.

NC Minority Cell demanded fool-proof security arrangements for PM package employees camping in the Valley, pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra, minorities living and working in the valley.

The Cell also maintained for all social and political parties to speak in one voice and not indulge in cheap political gains by issuing unnecessary statements.

Addressing the meet, Yogi appealed the people of the state to maintain peace, brotherhood, communal harmony in the state for which J&K state is famous in the whole world.

Among others present in the meet included Bhushan Lal Bhat, Mohan Lal Pandita, Shiban Lal Pandita, Sohan Lal Raina, Ved Lal Pandita, Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul, Ramesh Bharti, Raj Nath Fotedar, Ashwani Bhat, Geeta Koul, Rafit Ara, Mehjabeen, TK Kour and Bittu Ji Bhat.
