NCP demands appointment of new judges in J&K HC

Feb 20: State NCP chief and former Minister, Thakur Randhir Singh today urged the Governor and its administrative council to take immediate steps for filling the vacant posts in State High Court.
While addressing the media persons here today, Thakur Randhir urged the Governor NN Vohra to appoint new Judges in J&K High court to fulfill the vacuum created by vacant posts.
He also informed the media persons that he has framed a powerful coordination committee with KK Digra as its convener, which will meet the members of administrative council of the Governor to apprise them about ground problems of people, farmers, labourers, unemployed youth, working class, border area people and other burning problems of the State.
The former Minister said that the 22 member coordination committee includes Krishan Kumar Digra, Dr Liaquat Ali Magray, Dr PD Shastri, Satpal Sharma, Prof GM Pal, Saifullah Khan, Aizaz Naik, Javed F Rehman, RS Billowaria, Bansi Lal Sodhi, Jarnail Khokhar, Sandeep Manhas, Amar Singh, Vikram Mahajan, RC Bali, Gourav Kapoor, Rattan Chand, APS Jamwal, Amit Datta, FA Nizami, Kuldip Jaral and Tariq Nar, which will give its full cooperation to the Government in implementing Governor’s directions.
He said if these directions are implemented, the State, which has become a den of corruption and nexus between politicians, bureaucrats and land mafia for the last many years under successive Governments, will be developed.
