New Education policy leaves future of students in air by closing school

Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Panthers Trade Union (PTU) District President Manoj Gupta after conducting two-day tour of Pahari Panchyat Uchha Pind organised press conference, at Kathua on Tuesday.
Manoj Gupta flanked by others senior party leaders lamented at the lackadaisical and indifferent attitude of the authorities against poor and general-public for doling out the benefits to a few individuals posted at teachers in government school.
“The school started in year 2003, located in Panchyat Tharakalwal, ward number 6, Tehsil Ramkot has been closed in year 2016”, he added.
Manoj Gupta lamenting education authorities for not using their minds said that the education department transferred the two teachers employed their leaving the school abandoned. Stressing the fact that India is a welfare state and a socialistic polity, however it is unfortunate that state education department turned a Nelson’s eye towards closing down of a school for want of sufficient reasons.
“Right to education is fundamental right of every citizen but the state government took away this right from the students of the said panchyat by closing down the only and single Primary school”, he irked.
Manoj Gupta highlighting the sufferings of the students of the area demanded government especially the Education Department for re-opening of the school with sufficient staff and other facilities. He also demanded on an inquiry into the matter asking for strict action against those responsible for the closure of the school. He also warned of going to High Court against the Chief Education Officer if he fails to reopen the school. District President Ajay Singh Jamwal, Ram saran Dogra, Zonal Secretary Satish Sharma, Jagdish Raj, Hardev Singh, District President Youth Balbir Singh, Ravi Hans, Ashok Hans, Vikram Jamwal and others were present on the occasion.
