Jammu Tawi, April 13
National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM), Jammu today organized a Swach Bharat Abhiyan at Modern Academy Talab Khatikan.
A large number of students participated in this awareness campaign.This seminar was organized in the supervision of Rakeshwar Singh, Project Director, NILM.
He put thrust on cleanliness issues and urged the students to clean their surroundings.
Speaking with media personals Rakeshwar Singh project director NILM said “It is not about asking students to clean the environment, it includes cleanliness in all aspects and hence, we first asked students to maintain cleanliness within their school and house. After which, they were taught to ensure that they always wash their hands before and after their meal.”
A session was conducted in modern academy by the experts of NILM on “Swach Bharat Abhiyan.” They not only highlighted the need for hygiene but also taught children that how to maintain proper hygienic surrounding . This made the children more enthusiastic about the whole process.”
“The students were taught about the need to maintain basic hygiene and sanitation, students should understand the adverse health effects of filth lying around. Hence, we explained it to them the impact and the need to maintain a healthy environment,” said Thakur K D Kurhan chairman NILM. He further added that our organization has made many effort to keep our city clean and green.
Ajay Bakshi staff member of the modern academy appreciated the efforts of NILM NGO to aware students for such noble cause. NILM officials and experts on Swach Bharat Abhiyan including Kavita Balli coordinator NILM along with Preeti Bajaj SDO gave a detailed lecture over Swach Bharat Abhiyan and they highlighted many points regarding cleanliness drive.
