NMC demands implementation of 7th pay commission in State

Expressing the hope that the ensuing 2017-18 State budget which is about to be presented by the Finance Minister in the coming State Legislature Budget session beginning on January 2, 2017 will be pro-salaried/ working class budget, President of
the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri on Saturday appealed to Finance Minister to announce the implementation of 7th pay commission recommendations in favor of state government employees and pensioners, beside allotting separate wage Head in each department in the budget so that 61,000 daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State Government get their monthly salary regularly.
Addressing series of NMC workers meetings here, Shastri said that under the budgetary provisions this interim measure will go a long way to address their financial problems of working class in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation.
While appreciating programs and policies of the State Coalition Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti, Shastri appealed to the State Finance Minister to settle the long pending demands of state Govt. employees and pensioners regarding implementation of 7th pay commission recommendations and regularization of the services of sixty one thousand daily rated workers, so that confusion and uncertainty among them could come to end.
