No Indian cricket team member involved in Rape Case in Zimbabwe: Anurag

Rubbishing reports emerging from Zimbabwe of an Indian cricket team member being involved in a rape case, BCCI president Anurag Thakur clarified that ‘there is no truth to these allegations’. Thakur stated, “There is no truth in this allegation. No one from Indian team is involved in the incident,” he told.
The information was echoed by India’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe R Masakui who said, “No cricket team member is involved in the incident.” However he did clarify that two Indian nationals have been detained in the matter whose identity has not been revealed. “However, 2 Indian nationals have been detained.
We are seeking consular access to these 2 persons,” he said. Earlier Ministry of External Affairs also rebuked these allegations.
