‘No information about China incursion’

Srinagar, May 19
Defence minister Arun Jaitley today said that there was no information with him about the incursion by China troops in Ladakh region. However, he said, troops are strong enough to respond to any situation on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB).
Talking to reporters here this afternoon, Mr Jaitley, who was here to chair 14th General Services Tax (GST) Council meeting, said he has no information about the incursion by China Army in Ladakh region.
However, the defence minister said he visited some forward areas and met troops in north Kashmir.
I am satisfied with the readiness of our troops who are strong enough to meet any misadventure from across the borders, he said.
