NSF delegation calls on CUJ VC, submits memorandum

A delegation of National Secular Forum (NSF) today visited Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and handed over memorandum of demands to the Vice Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima. The delegation led by State President Dr Vikas Sharma, apprised the VC about several issues regarding the timing of the University Bus service shall be changed from 4.40 PM to 4.00 PM for the convenience of the students as it turns dark early in the evening, Internet Facility in Girls Hostel and some departments have not taken their students on picnic or excursion trip for the last three years. Authorities shall immediately ask such departments to arrange picnic in those departments. The NSF demanded Internet facility to UG students and other students of the Temporary Academic Block are provided.
NSF delegation also stressed on solving the problems of students and boarder of all the Hostels including Girls and Boys on priority basis. Beside these points, the NSF also appreciated VC for the initiatives taken to expose instances of corrupt practices and said that the Forum was encouraged by his attention towards its demands. Responding to the issues raised by the delegation, Vice Chancellor assured NSF activists that all their demands will be fulfilled within a short period of time.
The NSF delegation comprised of Vice-President Papinder Singh, Neeraj Dabgotra, Deepak Seyal, Tahir Qureshi, Charanpreet Kour, Shakeel, Sajad Bali, Rubina and others.
