NSF protest against JKPSC: demands separate PSC for Jammu

National Secular Forum (NSF) today held a massive protest against PSC and torched the effigy Chairman of J&K Public Service Commission (PSC).
Protesters, led by Rishikesh Rana University President National Secular Forum (NSF), also carried placards.
Rishikesh Rana demanded from the State Govt. to given the equal participation in PSC recruitment to all three regions.
He alleged that blue eyed candidates were being recruited by the PSC at the instance of state govt. causing resentment among the unemployment youth.
He also said that besides selecting more candidates from Kashmir Valley there were also reports of corruption and nepotism being involved in the every selection process.
Disclosing the share of posts of Assistant Professor History, Computer Application found in the selection list issued by Public Service Commission, Rishikesh Rana informed the press media that out of total posts of 34 of Assistant Professor in History, 24 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 08 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 09 posts 06 candidates are from Kashmir province while 03 is from Jammu.
Rana further said that out of total posts of 42 of Assistant Professor in Computer Application, 24 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 18 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 04 posts all candidates are from Kashmir province.
He further said that the educated youth has taken a serious view of continued discrimination under the rules of BJP and has decided to create mass awareness amongst student’s fraternity for launching an agitation to seek justice for educated youth of Jammu.
