NSF protest against JU authorities

The National Secular Forum (NSF) today held massive protest against the administration of Jammu University, a situation aggravated by the fact that the Jammu University cancelled the selection process for the post of Assistant Registrars after ward of a top official of Jammu University, who was also an aspirant failed to garner minimum qualifying points needed to appear in interview, which was earlier postponed not once but thrice.

Addressing a gathering here today, NSF Sr. Vice-President Surjit Choudhary appealed the Chancellor of University /Governor NN Vohra to directed Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or Crime Branch to unravel the mystery behind the unprecedented cancellation of the selection process of Assistant Registrars (ARs), mid-way by the authorities sitting at the helm of affairs in University of Jammu (JU) and that too without the approval of any of the competent bodies i.e. University Council or Syndicate.

Choudhary also asked the Jammu University administration to come clean over the allegations and declare the name of the top official who ordered cancellation of the selection process to restore the confidence of society in the fairness and transparency of the selection processes in the University. He alleged it is biggest fraud with the educated unemployed youth of the state who aspire for gazetted job after putting lot of painstaking efforts. Among those who were present in the included, Abhishek Bhagat, Atul Sharma,Varun Kumar, Jagdish Raj, Suraj Kumar.Amit Sagotra, Navjoot Singh, Ajay Sharma Washim and others.
