NV Dhalote girls excel in Samba zone

Navodya Vidyalaya (NV) Dhalote clinched both under-14 and under-17 Kho-Kho titles besides under-14 kabaddi final to their credit in the inter-school competitions of Samba zone, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Sports Stadium, here today.

Earlier, in the under-17 final, NV Dhalote defeated CMP Nud by a margin of five points. The under-14 kho-kho title again bagged by NV Dhalote beating Girls Middle School Garh Mandi by seven points.

In all, 225 female students drawn from 18 schools of Samba zone took part in this competition which held under the supervision of district officer (DYSS), Subash Chander Bhardwaj and guided by ZPEO, Rakesh Verma.

KABADDI: UNDER-17: NV Dhalote registered a five points win against GHS Sumb in the final. UNDER-14: Government Middle School Penthi beat MI Sumb by 25 points

VOLLEYBALL: The under-17 girls’ volleyball title went to Government High School Bainglar, who beat GHS Sarna in straight sets. Arti Devi of GHS Sarna was declared spiker of the tournament.

Among those present included Anirudh Singh, Sandeep Singh, Kulbir Singh, Gopal Sharma, Ganesh Dutt Sharma, Raj Kumari, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Minakshi Sambyal, Shashi Sambyal, Sudesh Kumari, Asha Rani, Suman Lata, Chanchla Devi, Roopa Sambyal, Seema Sharma, Naresh Khajuria, Raj Singh and Bhopinder Singh.
