Oil tanker turns turtle on Srinagar-Leh highway, disrupts traffic movement

The traffic movement on Srinagar-Leh highway was disrupted on Saturday after an oil tanker skidded off the road and turned turtle.

An eye witness said that an oil tanker (JKO2S-1557) traveling from Srinagar to Kargil lost its control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve near Sumbal area on Srinagar-Leh highway and turned turtle.

However, nobody was injured in the mishap.

The traffic was disrupted because of the accident.

“The traffic has been diverted to another route. Police is on job to clear the road,” said an official.
