Taking a dig at People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government for appointing two principals of Government Medical College (GMC), former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said it is now a clash of egos between the two partners.
Dr Rafeeq Pampori has recently proceeded on protest leave and sought voluntarily retirement. However, after meeting Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Dr Pampori said he will reconsider his retirement decision. However, health minister Choudhary Lal Singh, who represents BJP in the coalition government appointed Dr Kaiser Ahmad as new principal of the GMC, evoking reaction in the media that work of GMC has suffered due to two principals.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter, Mr Abdullah said Making a mockery of ”GoodGovernance” CM J&K appoints 1 Dr as principal of Govt Medical College, Health Minister another. Institution suffers!.
He further tweeted It’s now a clash of egos & a PDP v/s BJP battle. Who gets to decide what’s correct – the Chief Minister or the Minister concerned.
