OnePlus 2 will go on sale without invites for one hour on October 12

The Chinese smartphone manufacturing startup, OnePlus has announced that its recently unveiled OnePlus Two smartphone will be available for sale without invites on Monday, October 12 at the e-commerce website, (For Indian users), with a price tag of Rs. 24,999.

Apart from India the offer is available for the customers in United States, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Kingdom and Hong Kong.

The company said in a statement on an official blog, “On Monday, October 12, we are holding the first-ever OnePlus 2 open sales for one hour in four different time zones. This way, more fans around the world will get the best time possible to purchase the OnePlus 2 invite-free.”

OnePlus further added that the smartphone will be on sale between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM IST on Monday at (for Indian buyers). Meanwhile, the European and North American consumers can take the advantage of the open sale between 12:00-13:00 CEST and 12:00-1:00 pm PDT, respectively. As a huge number of buyers will try to avail the product in the critical one hour of sale, the authorities are expecting a heavy traffic and technical glitches or delays to happen.

Previously, the firm has distributed 1000 invites for the smartphone purchase, as a part of joint promotion with AirAsia. Also, it has partnered Bharti Airtel, back in September to offer the potential consumers a hands-on experience with the new handset and a chance to grab the ‘Golden Ticket’ to purchase it.

Dual SIM including a 4G nano SIM supporting handset runs on Android 5.1-based OxygenOS 2.1.0, which is supported by a 1.8 GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC bundled with an Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It can store up to 64GB of data in its Internal storage, which has no expandability option.

The OnePlus Two is fronted with a 5.5-inch in-cell display with a full-HD display 1080×1920 pixels of resolution and 1500:1 contrast ratio; and a 5-megapixel of selfie shooter. Meanwhile, its back sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 1.3-micron sensor, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, RAW image support, and OIS; and a 3300 mAh of battery, under the hood.

The smartphone is featured with a has a fingerprint sensor that can store up to 5 prints and unlock in under 0.5 seconds.
