Only stadium will be constructed at Bhagwati Nagar: Sat Sharma

On the basis of various complaints received by State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) concerning some agencies trying to encroach the land on the site for the Mini Stadium identified at Bhagwati Nagar near fourth bridge, the BJP leader along with the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh visited the site along with the Police officials, local residents of the area and political activists as well to ensure that no sort of encroachment is practiced by any party/agency on the State land.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this is the same 45 kanals land which was identified by us during our previous visit few months back for the construction of a Mini stadium in the Constituency and it will be seen that no other agency is allowed to work on the same land which was identified for our budding players from many sporting activities in the province.
He said that from more than 5 decades, Panj Peer Dangal Committee has been in existence who has been playing a major role in organizing activities concerning Indian Wrestling on the same spot and providing improvisation for other sporting activities as well, the decision of constructing a Mini stadium was taken so that talent of Jammu could find a place to enhance its abilities.
While dismissing all allegations of encroachment, DC Jammu, Simrandeep Singh said that the land identified for the Mini stadium is a State land and any agency trying to encroach such property of State Government will be dealt as per the law and will be taken to the task.
He also stated that an amount of Rupees 4.5 crores has been sanctioned for the same by the State Government and soon the works for a fully equipped Mini Stadium will start in order to provide best possible facilities to budding players of Jammu province.
