Jammu Tawi, April 13
Union Minister in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh today accused opposition leaders of hand in glove for settling foreign elements like Rohingyas in the state of Jammu.
“Opposition leaders are hand in glove in settling foreign Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu for electoral considerations,” Dr Singh said while addressing the BJP State Executive Committee meeting in Doda District. Dr Singh, who is also Lok Sabha MP from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Constituency, also asked his partymen to go to the people and highlight the enormous development works and projects brought in by the Modi Government in Jammu and Kashmir and also place before the masses a comparative detail of what all did not happen in last 60 years and what all has been made possible to happen in just 3 years.
“It is an irony that the Jammu based leaders, who have been for years dancing to the tune of their Kashmir – centric masters, are now suddenly questioning the contribution of BJP when they have been thrown out of power,” he said and added, “what has been their contribution to the development of Jammu when they were in power, both in the State as well as Centre for decades together.”
Accusing the Jammu based leaders of non-BJP parties of having sabotaged several important projects just to please their masters, Dr Singh asked, why Shahpur Kandi project was held up since 1970s and only got revived on the intervention of Modi Government.
To those who accuse BJP of having promoted “polarisation” in name of religion, the MoS PMO retorted, BJP has brought polarisation in name of “Vikas” (development) wherein people from all religions and castes voted for it in all the recently held elections.
Meanwhile, BJP state president and MLA Sat Sharma, in his concluding address at State Working Committee Meeting at Doda, stressed on devoting more time on work and less on gossip and said that every activist has to adopt three mantras – Jan Dhan, Van Dhan and Jan Dhan.
He said that regular touring takes the party closer to the people and develops leadership. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told the party activists time and again that post is not important but it is the responsibility showered upon a party activist which matters and dedication is imperative to come upto the expectations linked with the said responsibility.
Sat Sharma said that the youth constitute 65% of the population and their services should be utilized for achieving the desired results in different fields, particularly in highlighting the people friendly programme and scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.
The meeting was attended by State Office Bearers, Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, District Presidents, Morcha State Presidents, Cells and Morcha Incharges.
