Painting Competition on Water Conservation in J&K state organized in JU

Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation today organized a “7th State Level Painting Competition on Water Conservation in Jammu and Kashmir at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu (JU). The Theme of the Painting Competition was “Save Water Save Earth”. In this competition, 50 selected students (from school level painting competition) of 6th, 7th and 8th standards from schools of Jammu & Kashmir State have participated. In this Painting Competition, First prize of Rs. 5,000, Second prize of Rs. 3,000 and Third prize of Rs 2,000 was awarded Raghav Dabgotra class 8th MV International School Vijaypur, Ashutosh Kumar class 7th Siwalik School Nagrota & Rhythm Jain class 8th Delhi Public School Jammu, respectively. Besides, Consolation prize of Rs. 1000 each has been given to the 10 participants.

Professor Desh Bhandu Dean Academics Affairs University of Jammu Chief Guest, Mohd. Javed Joint Director School Education Jammu Guest of Honor, Dr. Uma Kapoor Regional Director Central Ground Water Board Jammu, coordinator J N Bhagat Scientist – ‘D’ and Jury Member Rakesh Sharma distributed the prizes to the winners. The overall anchoring of the programme was done by Priya Kanwar Scientist CGWB Jammu. In the end the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Sudheer Kumar Scientist Central Ground water Board Jammu.
