Pak Returns Poonch Woman After 4 Months

JAN 29: A woman from Poonch who crossed over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir(PoK) 4 months ago has been handed over to the Poonch Authorities on Thursday.

Confirming the news Pooch SSP Ramesh K Angral said “a woman named Zareena Bi(36) daughter of Qutb-din resident of Chela Dangri of Mandi, Poonch between 22-23 September 2020 crossed the LOC and reached the PoK. After which the Indian Army took up the counterpart in PoJK and on Thursday the PoJK authorities after completing the formalities handed over the woman to Poonch Authorities from Chakkan-Da-Bagh. We have informed her family members and soon she will be handed over to them”. He further said that “the investigation on why she crossed the border is going on”.
