Pakistan Army returns Poonch resident as goodwill gesture

A Poonch resident was handed over by Pakistani Army in Jammu as a goodwill gesture.
“Muhammad Rashid, son of Sattar Din Poonch district’s Degwar Teruan village who claimed to have inadvertently crossed over to Pakistan-administered Kashmir on June 12, was handed over to Indian authorities on Wednesday evening,” a defence spokesman told media on Thursday.
“The individual has been handed over to police for further interrogation.”
“Rashid’s father Sattar Din had registered a First Information Report (FIR) with the police about the incident,” the official added.
