The long pending demand for ration depot at Bharat Nagar area was met today after the Minister of State for Finance & Information Technology, Pawan Kumar dedicated the facility to the residents here at a simple function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the opening of new ration depot will ease the problems being faced by the people in getting the ration. He said that at present 600 to 700 families get ration from the existing outlet but with the opening of additional ration depot 250 to 300 families will get ration from each store.
He said that more ration depot would be opened in the town to minimize load in the existing sale outlets of CA&PD Department.
Reiterating government’s commitment to provide quality ration to the people, Minister said all the three commodities like atta, rice and sugar would be provided simultaneously at the ration outlets to save rationees time.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, representatives of CA&PD Department & prominent people of the area were present on the occasion.
