The National Conference today lashed out at the PDP for what it said “the party’s total and complete sell-out to the RSS”, alleging that the coalition has risked the political rights and dignity of the State and its people. While addressing a press conference here today Sheikh Abdul Rehman former MP and  senior NC leader   said the PDP-BJP coalition in the State has failed on all fronts. “PDP’s deafening silence at the persecution of people by a progressively intolerant radical right wing had exposed the party’s political bearings and motives. The party’s sell-out to the BJP and RSS represents the lowest ebb of politics, Sheikh Abdul Rehman said .He also alleged that PDP-BJP Government’s “desperate, last-minute move” of seeking deferment of the Anantnag seat by-election was a clear sign of PDP’s fear of reprisal on the grassroots level after its political surrenders and successive U-turns on all its promises. He said Mehbooba Mufti’s complete lack of confidence to stand for election to the Legislative Assembly was also partly due to the fact that she was aware of the internal rebellion against her leadership within her party. “The PDP-BJP alliance in J&K is a communal front of those forces who have traditionally been opposed to the ideals of secularism and egalitarianism in India. To satisfy his insatiable appetite for political power, first Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and now Mehbooba Mufti joined hands with the same party that he sought votes against in the run-up to the Assembly Elections. This is an unholy, communal nexus that aims to further the longstanding ideology of RSS when it comes to Jammu and Kashmir. This alliance is inherently opposed to Article 370, the State Subject Laws and aims to suppress and undermine the political aspirations and sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. He also alleged that present government had completely ignored Chenab valley of the state and on ground there is no sign of government. “People of Bhaderwah and Doda  are facing hardships on all fronts  and the government is not concerned about the problems of the people ,” Rehman told
