PDP-BJP not working seriously for J&K People: Bhalla

The Congress on Wednesday rejected coalition government’s claims of taking every step for welfare of people, saying “they have only indulged in fooling the people by rhetoric and marketing themselves. We would like to remind coalition government to stop fooling the people of this state by ‘Jumlebazi’ and marketing and start governing, said senior Congress leader and former minister, Raman Bhalla while addressing well attended public meeting in Nai Basti area of Gandhi Nagar constituency here today.
Prominent among others who also addressed the gathering included Om Parkash Sharma- Block President, Vijay Chaudhary, Surinder Kumar, Sodhi, Sonu Dogra, Gopi, Kala, Shello, Darshan, Anita, Madam Shukla, Bitu, Naresh, Gorkha, Tirath, Ashwani, Tinni, Rathi, Bitti besides several others.
Annoyed over BJP’s complete failure to espouse Jammu centric matters, Bhalla regretted that government, particularly the BJP failed to ensure resolution of the burning issues of Jammu region in the current Assembly session including roll back of service tax on Helicopter services to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. The government should direct the authorities at Lakhanpur to completely exempt the vehicles carrying any kind of goods for setting up `langars’ during annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath, beginning July 2, from the purview of Toll Tax and Entry Tax.
Allow all vehicles carrying goods for installation of `langars’ at different places on yatra route right from Lakhanpur to holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva in South Kashmir Himalayas without charging any Toll Tax or Entry Tax, he demanded.
In view of the security scenario in the state and to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims, Bhalla stressed the necessity of submitting the Police Verification Reports and the Compulsory Health Certificates in respect of the Langar sewadars to be deployed by the LOs in their Langars during Yatra 2016.
Good governance, justice, development, credibility of the institutions and basic amenities are the crying need of the people across the state.
The track record of the coalition partners so far is that they have utterly failed in addressing basic genuine issues of people of state, former Minister added.
BJP had promised to address the demands of PoK and West Pakistan refugees, but the refugees have merely got assurances and nothing else from the BJP.
