Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the young Kashmiri language scholar, Aadil Mohuidin of Bandipur district in North Kashmir, for winning the prestigious Sahitya Academy’s Yuva Puruskar award-2016 for his debut book “Zol Dith Sadras” in Kashmiri language.
“It is a matter of great pride and joy for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the lovers of Kashmiri language. We congratulate Aadil Saheb for this incredible feat,” the party youth president, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra said
in a statement.
He said, unfortunately, the Kashmiri language has received a setback over the years as majority of the young people in Kashmir prefer other languages like Urdu and English but their mother tongue to commcate.
“This award should inspire and encourage others to work for the cause of Kashmiri culture, its rich traditions, language and literature,” he added.
