PDP welcomes enhancement in allocation of Tribal Sub Plan

Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and General Secretary Nizamudin Bhat has hailed the union government’s decision of enhancement in the allocation of Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) from Jammu & Kashmir state. Bhat said the worshiping increase for present 20 crores to 100 crores has become possible due to efforts of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who personally followed the state’s case.
He said soon after the creation of a Tribal Ministry here by PDP led government, the legitimate share of funds for development and welfare of the Tribal community of J&K was taken up by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and vigorously pursued by Mehbooba Ji.
She projected the population figures and put up a state’s case in perspective of poverty and backwardness, claiming the due share.
Bhat said that Tribal Ministry here will ensure that funds to be received are utilized o nly after comprehensive planning which should take difficulty of under developed areas of Tribal Community into consideration.
He said the development agencies need to make a survey to ascertain the actual need of the people and accordingly raise the infra-structure , besides throwing open opportunity for avenues and social upliftment of the Tribal Community.
Bhat said that the seriousness of Chief Minister for overall growth with special care for backward and under developed sections and areas is a sufficient guarantee for transparent and adequate use of available resource.
Bhat made a fervent appeal to the government to focus on speedy completion of central schemes and in sectors of Health, Education, Public Health Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture and Environment, besides raising the necessary infra structure commensurate projections for growth.
