Jammu, November 25
Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today assured the family of injured minor girl that he will provide her proper medical assistance on his own expenditure.
During his visit to the residence of Bahadur Singh, whose 14-year old Sakshi Choudhary daughter who lost her vision in the right eye and six other members were grievously injured in heavy shelling conducted by Pakistan on October 25 in R S Pura sector along the International Border.
On the occasion, PHE Minister assured the family that he will provide them all medical assistance and if possible then he will send their daughter (Sakshi) outside the state for better medical treatment at his own expenditure. As his main motto is to make Sakshi fit and for this purpose, he will send her outside the state if requires on his own expenditure, the minister informed.
Consoling the father of the recuperating Sakshi Choudhary, the PHE Minister assured that the government as well as he will bear all the expenses for her treatment. Even he had called Head of Department, Ophthalmology Department, Government Medical College Jammu to make proper arrangements for providing medical assistance to the victim and even he arranged an ambulance which carries Sakshi to hospital free of cost and provide her best treatment.
The Minister also assured the family that the government is committed to provide medical aid to the victims besides arranging for their proper relief and
rehabilitation. Additionally the government has put in place adequate number of ambulances for transporting the injured well in time to the medical facilities for immediate treatment, he added.
