Feb 25: : An emergent meeting of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairpersonship of its State President Kiranjeet Kour at its central office in which all the members present in one voice strongly opposed and assailed the dictatorial decision of J&K Board of School Education to issue the question paper packets to the superintendents from the local police stations each day in the ensuing 12th class examinations.
The participants said that such a decision will lead to chaos and confusion as superintendent, majority of them being female will face lot of problems in collecting question papers from the respective police stations which in some cases are at a long distance.
The Forum members demanded that question papers should be handed over to the superintendents at their respective examination centres only to run the exam in smooth, fair and risk free manner. Keeping in view the topography of Jammu region, it won’t be feasible for superintendents to collect question papers from police stations and then reach the Examination Centres well in time without hassle.
Kiranjeet apprised the members that she has already conveyed the Director School Education, Jammu and Chairman JKBOSE about the problems and apprehensions being faced by the superintendents.
The Forum urged the Governor to intervene in this sensitive matter and impress upon the BOSE authorities to deliver the sealed question papers packets at the Examination centres only under proper security as there is quite unrest amongst the members of Plus-2 Cadre.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were Anil Sharma, R.S. Slathia, Deepak Sharma, Dr. Anees, Sanjay Bhagat, Pardeep Singh, Talib Hussain, Tarsem Singh, Narinder Sharma, Ashok Sharma.
