Vijaypur, May 1
Former minister and JKPCC general secretary, Manjit Singh today said people of India need ex-Prime Minister like Indira Gandhi to deal with the situation in Kashmir and on borders with Pakistan because Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has failed on all fronts. “Under the prevailing situation across the country, it seems India needs another Indra Gandhi to rule the nation to keep it united and security its borders from the enemity like she did in 1971 by defeating Pakistan in a historic war,” said Manjit Singh, while speaking before the party workers during a monthly meeting at Vijaypur. Former Minister said that the BJP Government has been ruling in Jammu and Kashmir from over two years but one would be surprised that they count developmental works of previous Government.
“No new developmental work has been initiated or completed by this coalition government which often seen while contradicting each other on their respective statements,” he took a jibe. “They should have come forward and brought the situation under control. Kashmir is on boil from last five months but the Government is unmoved.
They don’t know how to handle situation instead, they are stick to the chair and assure each other that they will never leave midway and continue alliance,” he further said. He said that unclear policy for Kashmir and failed strategy has worried the nationalist people in the State. He further said that today Pak army conducted a BAT operation across the LoC and mutilated bodies of our brave soldiers but the centre is working as a mute spectator.
“There is no hard or soft policy with the Centre or State Government. They have put the lives of the people to risk and brought instability with them in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
