Expressing resentment over delay in distribution of 2000 crores packages for POJK refugee, hundreds of refugees of Indo-Pak war of 1947, 1965 and 1971 under the banner of POJK DP Front held strong demonstration at Press Club Jammu.
The protesters alleged that government has so far done nothing for distribution of package.
They said the government has even not given any information to them about its procedure in distribution.
Addressing the protester, Yudhveer Sethi, the leader of POJK, said that refugees have been protesting for last 70 years for their rehabilitation but now when Prime Minister Narender Modi has announced rupees 80,000 crores for whole J&K state including rupees 2000 crores for refugee package, the revenue department of J&K state is showing any interest to distribute the package to refugees.
He regretted that despite announcement of PM about their rehabilitation package, they are forced to come on roads due to lackadaisical attitude of state government.
The revenue department despite approaching at a number of times has not done anything concrete while on the contrary they are totally uncooperative and inaccessible, he added. He warned to intensify stir in case the state government fail to disburse them package at the earliest.
