Police arrests 13 bovines, arrest five smugglers

Taking strong action against bovine smugglers, Police on Tuesday arrested three bovines smugglers and rescued 13 bovines from their possession.
As per reports, a Police Party of Police Station Purmandal headed by Inspector Sanjeev Kumar SHO Police Station Purmandal under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and under direction of Anil Magotra, KPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police Samba intercepted accused at village Sangar who were illegally smuggling the bovine animals in the guise of seasonal migration.
During the questioning, The accused disclosed about the smuggling and police at once arrested them identified as . Sharifa Bibi d/o Mustaq Ahmed, Fatima Bibi w/o Sharif and Jaitoon w/o Mustaq, all R/o Kokarnag, District Anantnag, A/P Sora, Utterbehni. However, two others accused identified as Mustaq Ahmed s/o Makhan Din, Sharif Ahmed s/o Javed Ahmed, both r/o Kokarnag, District Anantnag, at present Sora, Utterbehni managed to fled away from the spot. Police has registered a case under FIR No. 05/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, at Police Station Purmandal and further investigation is going on.
