Police busted interstate racket of drug peddlers, recovered huge quantity of charas

To continue battle against drug Mafia, Police has busted three interstate rackets of drug peddlers and recovered a huge quantity of charas from their possession. This was disclosed by SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta while addressing a press conference.
As per reports, on intervening night of August 28- 29, a police party laid a naka outside Shiv Temple Trikuta Nagar in which they intercepted three vehicles
bearing registration number MH31AH-0171 (Qualis) JK07-0235 (tata Sumo) and JK03E-1763 (Swift). During frisking, Police recovered 15 kgs of charas from their possession and at once arrested all five accused identified as Suraj Parkash son of Ram Lal resident, Altaf Ahmed son of Hazar Shah both resident of Mumbai, Ghulam Mohd Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-udu-Din resident of Tanmarg Baramulla, Mohd Amin son of Ali Mohd resident of Bij Behara Anantnag and Mohd Sultan son of Abdul Rehman resident of Bij Behara Anantnag. Police has registered a case under FIR number 167/2016 U/S 8/20/21 NDPS Act at Police Station Bahu Fort against all accused and further investigation is going on.
Similarly, SI Waseem Mehraj along with his party laid a naka at transport Nagar Jammu intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02 AE 5888 and after searching of the vehicle, police recovered 150 bottles of COERX. Police has arrested two accused identified as Sanjay Sharma son of Bishan Dass and Raj Kumar Sharma son Jai paul Sharma resident of Udhampur have been arrested. A FIR under relevant section of law has been registered in the Police station Bahu Fort.
Meanwhile, a special naka laid by patrolling party of Police Station Nagrota on National High Way near Bambyal Morh in which they intercepted a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK13A-8481 and found
three persons in suspicious circumstances.
During searching, seven packets of Charas weighing approximately 3.5 Kilos were recovered from their possession and seized on the spot. Police has arrested all accused identified as Bharat Bhushan son of Sita Ram resident of Raipur Ban Talab Auto Driver, Aqib Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Majeef Mir and Ghulam Nabi Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmed Bhat both resident of Bij Behara Anantnag.
