Police officers to remain extra vigilant, alert during yatra: SSP Jammu

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Dr Sunil Gupta today briefed the police officers about ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji yatra and exhorted the officers to remain extra vigilant and alert during the yatra.
He was speaking while chairing the crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division City East, Jammu.
During meeting, SSP advised the officials to stay alert and take necessary precautionary measures to defeat the evil designs of anti-national and antisocial elements. He stressed the need to intensify random checking and organize short and long-range patrolling in far-off and inaccessible areas.
The issue of public complaints pending with Police Sub-Division City East also discussed in the meeting. He took the strict review for early finalization of the pending cases/public complaints to give the relief to the general public. He also directed the Police Stations staff to conduct foot patrolling in their respective jurisdiction. The investigating staff was also directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
Others who were present during the meeting included SP City South Sandeep Choudhary, IPS, Chief Prosecuting officer Parshant Mahajan, SDPO City East Arun Jamwal, SHO Police Station Trikuta Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu, Channi, Incharge of Police Posts under Sub-Division City East and Investigating Officers of these units.
