Police solved blind murder case in Sunderbani

A major success by Rajouri police has solved blind murder mystery in Sunderbani block and arrested a 20 year old youth namely Rajan Sharma son of Vijay Kumar Sharma resident Makara for allegedly killed a non local telecom worker.
A Nagaland resident was found dead in Sunderbani on 22nd of June in mysterious circumstances following which police had failed to find any clue during investigation.
However addressing a presser here today, additional superintendent of police ( ASP) Nowshera Atul Sharma and sub division police officer (SDPO) Nowshera Nawaz Ahmed said the case has been solved by a team led by station house officer (SHO) Sunderbani Ravinder Parihar. The officers said that on 23rd of June a man was found lying murdered near cremation ground in Sunderbani who was later identified as Jisietho Son of Sirhitho resident of Khel of Nagaland.
He had gone to Sunderbani to three days before his murder and was working with a private telecom company they said. During the investigation three associates associates of the victim who were living with him were detained for questioning who said they had returned to the room after having a drink in local bar. They said that the victim had decided to stay back to have more wine and not return to the room that night. Police officials said adding that no useful information was received from the three associates of the victim.
After groping in darkness police decided to track the movement of some local criminals and found that a young boy was spotted near the Bar on 22nd of June but has not been since that day. Movement of the youth was tracked who was arrested on his return home yesterday. Adding that during interrogation the youth confessed to his crime.
He has informed police that on seeing the victim heavily drunk near the Bar he lured him towards them cremation ground offering more drinks.
The accused then picked a big stone and hit the victims on his head repeatedly after which he fled from the spot along with his belongings including a mobile phone, wallet and some cash the police officers said.
On the disclosure of the arrested accused the stone which was used as weapon of offense has been recovered from near the cremation ground while mobile phone, wallet and other items have been seized. The officer identified the accused as a Rajan Sharma son of Vijay Kumar Sharma resident of village Makara tehsil Akhnoor and district Jammu.
