Poor BSNL service irk subscribers in Kupwara

With the poor network service of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) across Kashmir especially in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the cellular company has come under severe criticism with its subscribers alleging it to be a reason of immense hardships.

The subscribers of Kupwara complained that their service was totally out –of-service from last few days and concerned authorities have failed to restore the service properly. “After the snow fall, our mobile phones stopped working due to poor signal by BSNL,” said Zubair Ahmad, a resident of Kupwara.

Reports also said that in many towns and villages the calls were frequently dropping due to poor signals in their areas and the situation goes worse in areas where electricity was not restored for BSNL towers. “From last few days our area reels under darkness due to absence of electricity, which has also affected mobile service here as mobile towers stopped working,” said Javid Ahmad of Handwara, adding BSNL authorities failed to run towers on diesel generators in their area.

The subscribers and business community also have to suspend their business on third consecutive day due to very poor speed of BSNL broadband services, thus became the reason of lose for their business.

“The poor service by BSNL to its Internet subscribers have put their business on halt from last few days and they have literally shut their shops,” said Majid Bhat of main town Kupwara.

Meanwhile, scores of sales representatives of other telecom companies started calling to their potential customers from last few days luring them for getting satisfactory card services from them on attractive rates and amazing offers.
