If you ever doubted that Salman Khan’s the undisputed King of Bollywood, this should steal the deal once and for all. After bulldozing his way into box office history with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman has proved once again that locking horns with him on the ticket windows is not a good idea. His latest family saga, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, directed by Sooraj R Barjatya is taking the BO by storm: According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has already collected an unthinkable Rs 143.39 crore in just the first five days of its release.
However, there was another non-Hindi film this year that crossed the Rs 100 mark quite easily. Director SS Rajamouli’s magnum-opus Baahubali grossed Rs 254 crore worldwide in first five days. Its Hindi version did phenomenally well. Baahubali’s gathered around Rs 34.60 crore in the Hindi speaking belt.
