A good will yatra of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) led by Professor Bhim Singh left Kishtwar this morning after paying floral tributes to five student martyrs namely Mohammad Iqbal Zaragar, Abdul Kabir Seekh, Gain Chand, Ravinder Kumar and Mohammad Iqbal who were killed by police in 1973 while demanding a Degree Collage in Kishtwar.
NPP Supremo declared that at appropriate memorial site shall be raised at the site of their memorial plates.
The good will mission stopped at Prem Nagar where a committee they constituted a zonal committee at Prem Nagar and the committee shall look after the interest of three assembly constituencies namely Badherwah, Kisthwar and Doda. Prem Nagar is Sangam wherein three constituencies met.
Dr B L Sharma was appointed as Zonal president Daleep Singh as zonal secretary and Sukhdev Sharma as vice president.
Mohammad Shafi was appointed as organizing secretary, Subash Gupta district secretary of Doda District shall be observer on the behalf of JKNPP.
Professor Bhim Singh welcomes entry of Dharm Singh who re joined the NPP after a gap of three years. He is ex-servicemen and a committed nationalist joined NPP.
Pritam Singh district general secretary assured the party that he shall stand by the party for reorganization of J&K. District president Intaz Ahmed assured that District Doda shall enroll at least fifty thousand members in NPP before going for the state party election by October.
Anita Thakur, general secretary JKNPP appealed to the youth, students and women to join the NPP as it is only one party namely NPP which has been fighting equality, justice, basic rights and against all forms of discrimination for past 34 years. She also constitutes a women committee for Doda District.
Professor Bhim Singh announced that the NPP shall hold state convention by October this year to re elect JKNPP committees and it shall also hold NPP convention at District Level. He also made promise that sub committees of youth, students, Women, labors, farmers and Ex-Servicemen shall be re-constitute from block to the state level,
According to VOM correspondence the NPP strong delegation has reached Karnery Nala (Doda District) where Professor Bhim Singh shall interact with hunders of people who has been suppressed by the local administration for opposing the opening of liquor shop on the national highway.
The state government misleads the high court on the status of road misinforming that Batote-Doda-Kisthwar road is not national highway. Prof. Bhim Singh said that this road was declared as national highway when Om Mehta union transport minister had declared this road as national highway in the seventy.
