Public Works Department (PWD) hangs on payment of compensation to a historical Shri Ramkund Babli temple situated about 8 Kilometer from Mendhar town of Poonch district.

Report said that PWD took 3.5 Kanal of land from famous Ramkund temple for construction of road. The work of road started during 2009 but the temple has not been paid compensation of land even after completion of road.

Expressing resentment against PWD, Mahant Shri Sita Ram Dass said that compensation of land given to the department has not been given to the temple after completion of road. He said that he has been visiting PWD office for last six years but except assurance nothing has been done.

He said that he approached to SDM and Tehsnildar but to no avail.

Mahant Sita Ram Dass has asked PDP-BJP Government for early payment of compensation of the temple.

The president of Bajrangdal of Tehsil Mendhar Sonu Sharma and district president of Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) Ranjit Sharma blamed PWD for its apathetic approach.

They also appealed PWD and Tehsil administration for early payment of compensation.
