Railways Construction work should go uninterrupted: DC

The construction work of Railways at various sites in the district should run smoothly besides resolving all glitches including the issues related with land acquisition.  This was instructed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz while chairing a meeting with officers and representatives of different construction agencies like IRCON, AFCON and northern railways and expressed that bottlenecks on the projects having national importance be removed.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram, Sub Divisional Magistrate Gool Zameer  Ahmed Rishu, Tehsildar Khari Tanvir-Ul Majid, General Manager IRCON D.P. Choudhary, Lt. Col (Rtd) R.J. Srinivasa, JGM Lokesh Gupta, Senior Officer AFCONS Anup Trivedi, Officer System-IT Shabir Ahmed, Executive Engineer Northren Railway Ankur Sharma, INR RP Gupta and various other companies representatives. Earlier, General Manager IRCON apprised the meeting with current status of the construction work and some issues. While assuring full cooperation and support to the companies, the Deputy Commissioner said that all possible efforts shall be made by the administration for smooth construction work. Deputy Commissioner instructed ADC to visit the sites of work and keep close watch on it and provide support to the companies as and when required. Deputy Commissioner emphasized on the companies for proper photography and videography of proposed construction sites before starting work besides sensitizing the locals properly.
