Ramban Congress stages protest against govt

Under the nationwide call given by the Indian National Congress, the Ramban District Congress Committee led by its District President, Arun Singh Raju took out a rally through the Ramban bazaar in protest against the recently announced demonitisation by the NDA government at the centre, here today. They held a protest rally from Dak Banglow to Ramban bus stand in resulting into the blockage of traffic on the national highway there for about an hour. Earlier, the workers and leaders of the INC had gathered at the Tourist Bugalow where they were addressed by some prominent local leaders of the party. Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Banihal Vikar Rasool, Secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee, Ashok Kumar and District Congress Committee, President, Arun Singh Raju addressed the gathering. In their speeches they unanimously castigated the demonetization process initiated by the NDA government, called it a political gimmick for its political interests and expressed their concern about the acute problems being faced by the scrupulous common masses especially the poors.
