Udhampur, April 24
A one day blood donation camp was organized by Red Cross Society in collaboration with District Health Society and Nirankari Charitable Foundation in the premises of Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Shiv Nagar, Udhampur.
While speaking on the occasion, Zonal Incharge said that Nirankari Mission organized blood donation camps as a part of observance of Manav Ekta Divas in remembrance of Baba Gurbachan Singh Maharaj. He informed that the mission is also going to organize such more camps in near future to save some ones precious life.
During the Blood Donation Camp, as many as 140 volunteers from all sections of the society participated and donated the blood for the noble cause to save precious lives.
Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, Dr. K.C Dogra who was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the blood donation camp in presence of Zonal Incharge, Nirankari Charitable Foundation, V.P Singh on the occasion.
Chief Medical Officer appreciated the initiative and contribution of District Red Cross Society and coordinated efforts of Nirankari Charitable Foundation to organize such types of camp to save precious lives.
He further highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation and said that such camps would go a long way to minimize the paucity of blood in health institutions time to time.
Among others, Zonal Incharge, Nirankari Mission, V.P Singh, Secretary Red Cross Society, Dr. V.P Sharma, Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Narinder Bhatyal, Sanchalak, Nirankari Mission Udhampur, Rattan Lal, officials of Blood Bank District Hospital and large number of volunteers were present on the occasion.
